The series Humans of Verona is inspired by Humans of New York, a Brandon Stanton project which we deeply admire.
Daniele owns an analytical personality and can give the best book advise.
He has a sharp sense of humour and very drastic, yet affectionate insights on the city:
for him Verona is a "sleeping beauty".
"My favorite place, that has become the custodian of Verona since 1802, is the Civic Library.
The city's first public library, a treasure of
knowledge, passion and discoveries condensed into words and images,
which holds together over 3,000 manuscripts and, also, illustrated books for boys and girls.
At the library you have free access and free use of
what is preserved there, which belongs... to everyone!
It is a place where borders dematerialize to become a meeting space.
It is a place of freedom where you travel through space and time.
A space that asks you to slow down the pace, to breathe new horizons.
It is the place in which I have the privilege of working.
It is the beating heart of the city, which needs to be seen and loved
to bring energy to an often distracted and tired city.
It is a space where you experience
being citizens of the world
at a stone's throw from the city center: Piazza Erbe."
